Naked man causes tense moment on roof
KOTA MARUDU: A man, believed to be mentally challenged, climbed onto the roof of a house at Kampung Tagaroh here yesterday.
The tense situation eventually became one of relief when, after almost two hours of coaxing by members of the Fire and Rescue Department personnel, police and family, the man relented and came down from the rooftop by himself.
The man in his 20s was said to have climbed onto the rooftop naked at around 8.30am yesterday. When family members failed to persuade him to come down, they called the fire department and police for assistance.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson, Affendy Ramin, they received a distress call at 8.51am and arrived at the location within 15 minutes.
The man was brought to the police station after coming down from the roof.
